Meanys.net Welcome to the Meanys.net website. During my free time I will provide some additional information on this site to keep the public updated and aware of different types of vulnerabilities that are currently out there in regards to Internet Security.
On another note, for home security, we decided to go with the best possible protection.
<-- Jack! There are many different types of solutions to technology and one approach will not work for everyone. My approach might aid someone in restoring their computer and increase overall performance and speed. Currently there are many challenges on the horizon in regards to safe guarding a computer and hopefully this information will aid you in your journey through Internet travels. We will explore some hardware and software devices that might aid someone.
Some of the biggest challenges today when dealing with technology consists of Spyware, Malware, Trojans etc... Let me start by saying that using detection programs to seek out Spyware is not a vital solution to this everlasting problem. In my opinion, we need to have a better plan that will reduce Spyware before it reaches our computers and then use the programs to detect. Trying to detect if we have Spyware is after the fact. Currently with over billions of websites in existence it is almost impossible for one individual (me) to tackle this tremendous battle against those who want to gather personal information against us. Are the websites even giving the general public an opportunity to “opt out” of Spyware? We need to stop Spyware before it reaches the computer and then use the Spyware programs as a backup plan in the event spyware made it through our means of blocking spyware all together. I will go into more detail through the links on the left.
Managing Information Technology (IT) is one thing, managing folks who use IT is a more challenging task in itself. For example when an employee clicks on an e-mail attachment from an unknown sender this could easily create havoc on the computer and could also compromise the security of the entire network. Educating users will help resolve some of these types of vulnerabilities as well. Another example is downloading and installing programs from an unknown source. More than likely if it is a "free" program chances are that it is illegal and violating the EULA agreement. Additionally, the program might also have little lines of code internally or externally that could rake havoc on a computer and/or a network.
